SUMMARY:Birds in Winter
DESCRIPTION:Join naturalist\, Mary Jo Graham of Oakmoss Education\, for a casual walk through Forest Lawn to discover some of the cemetery’s feathered residents. The colder months are a great time to focus on our avian friends who “tough it out” while their cousins enjoy warmer climes; we’ll also discuss the birds’ adaptations that allow us to enjoy their beauty year-round. Binoculars and field guides are encouraged! \nImportant Information\nAddress: Forest Lawn Cemetery\, 1990 Main St.\, Buffalo\, NY 14208\nTickets: There is no need to print your e-tickets; attendees will be checked in by name.\nCheck-in: Check-in takes place at Forest Lawn’s historic Chapel in the heart of the cemetery. Enter the cemetery at any gate and follow the white painted line on the road to the Chapel.\nParking: There is plenty of parking at the Chapel/check-in location. \nFor Your Comfort: This walk will be approximately 1.5 miles; we strongly encourage attendees to wear suitable outerwear/footwear as the route may include some wet/muddy and uneven terrain. \nRefunds and exchanges: Ticket sales are final. No exchanges or refunds unless the walk is canceled.\nInclement Weather Policy: If severe weather is forecasted\, we will monitor the conditions for the best chance of proceeding with the walk. Cancellations will be announced via email; make sure to check your spam folders.\nQuestions: Please call us at (716) 427-0727 or email Amizetta Haj\, Director of Community Engagement\, at ahaj@forest-lawn.com.
