DESCRIPTION:Join naturalist\, Paul Fehringer\, for a casual walk along Scajaquada Creek with visits to the ponds in Forest Lawn. We will see what nature abounds along the waterway as we discuss the history of the creek and its importance to all the nature along its banks. We’ll end our walk at the wetland area at the north end of the cemetery. \nImportant Information\nAddress: Forest Lawn Cemetery\, 1990 Main St.\, Buffalo\, NY 14208\nTickets: There is no need to print your e-tickets; attendees will be checked in by name.\nCheck-in: Check-in takes place at Forest Lawn’s historic Chapel in the heart of the cemetery. Enter the cemetery at any gate and follow the white painted line on the road to the Chapel.\nParking: There is plenty of parking at the Chapel/check-in location. \nFor Your Comfort: This walk will be approximately 1.5 miles; we strongly encourage attendees to wear suitable outerwear/footwear as the route may include some wet/muddy and uneven terrain. \nRefunds and exchanges: Ticket sales are final. DESCRIPTION:Forest Lawn is extremely proud to honor and salute the brave men and women of the United States armed forces\, particularly those who gave their lives in service to preserve our freedom and all that we hold dear\, as we host The Erie County American Legion for its annual Memorial Day ceremony. \nAt 8:00 a.m.\, flags will be placed on the graves of veterans buried in the Field of Valor® and in the American Legion section of Forest Lawn. \nAt 9:00 a.m.\, the ceremony will begin in front of the American Legion Memorial Monument in the Veterans section\, near the Main Street Gates.
