DESCRIPTION:Join us as we welcome Maria Capolupo\, Death Doula and Grief Support Specialist\, to the Forest Lawn Chapel for our inaugural talk in a new series called Chapel Chats. This initiative will offer a variety of death care awareness programs and resources that promote a healthy attitude about mortality. \nIn her series “Ask a Death Doula”\, Maria offers the opportunity for people in all phases of life to learn about all aspects of dying\, death\, and grief. One part educational conversation and one part Q & A\, attendees are encouraged to ask any and all questions they’ve ever wanted to know (but have been afraid to ask) about death and death work. \nMaria Capolupo is a Death Doula and Grief Support Specialist based in Buffalo\, NY\, dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate the end-of-life journey with compassion and care. Offering a holistic approach\, Maria helps clients experience meaningful\, peaceful transitions\, while ensuring they feel heard\, understood\, and supported throughout the process. In addition to one-on-one support\, Maria gives lectures and educational sessions to groups and individuals\, aiming to demystify death\, dying\, and grief. DESCRIPTION:The Annual Meeting of the lot owners of The Buffalo City Cemetery\, dba Forest Lawn Cemetery Group (Forest Lawn Cemetery\, Clarence Fillmore Cemetery\, Evergreen Lawn Cemetery\, Forest Hill Cemetery\, Freedom Cemetery Society\, The Freedom Rural Cemetery\, Gethsemane Cemetery\, Griffins Mills Cemetery Association\, Lakeside Cemetery\, The Lancaster Rural Cemetery Association\, The Oakwood Cemetery Association\, Quaker Settlement Cemetery Association\, St. Matthew’s Cemetery\, and Williamsville Cemetery) will be held in person at the Forest Lawn Chapel in Forest Lawn Cemetery or via video conference as allowed by law. \nThe call will originate from Buffalo City Cemetery’s main address at 1411 Delaware Avenue\, Buffalo\, NY\, 14209 on Tuesday\, April 22\, 2025\, at 3:00 p.m.\nTo Join Virtually: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83321748308 or dial-in at 1-929-205-6099 Meeting ID 833 2174 8308. The nominees for trustee are: Stephen Bell\, Ruth D. Bryant\, and James M. Wadsworth. All lot owners who attend the meeting will need to provide verification of identity and lot ownership. Each lot is entitled to one vote at the meeting. DESCRIPTION:Please join us by Mirror Lake for our second annual State of the Arboretum! We are proud to share that Forest Lawn Cemetery was designated a Level I Arboretum by ArbNet in 2024. We will be holding a press event to update the community on how were are striving for Level II status\, and our plans to re-canopy Forest Lawn in the coming years. Our team will also plant another cherry tree to compliment the beautiful ring of trees around the lake. \nWant to learn more about our diverse trees?
