DESCRIPTION:Join our expert tour guides to explore the original section of Forest Lawn that was purchased to create the cemetery in 1849 and learn about some of Buffalo’s earliest and notable residents. \nImportant Information \nAddress: Forest Lawn Cemetery\, 1990 Main St.\, Buffalo\, NY 14208\nTickets: There is no need to print any ticketing information; attendees will be checked in by name of ticket purchaser.\nCheck-in: Check-in takes place at Forest Lawn’s historic Chapel in the heart of the cemetery. Enter the cemetery at any gate and follow the white painted line on the road to the Chapel.\nParking: There is plenty of parking at the Chapel/check-in location.\nFor Your Comfort: This walk will be approximately 1 mile and includes some hilly terrain; we strongly encourage attendees to wear suitable outerwear/footwear.\nRefunds and exchanges: Ticket sales are final. If severe weather is forecasted\, we will monitor the conditions for the best chance of proceeding with the tour. Learn the stories and visit the final resting places of many Civil War notables who are among the cemetery’s permanent residents\, including well-known soldiers\, political figures\, and women connected to Western New York. You will even meet a few of them along the way! \nImportant Information \nTickets: You do not need to print any ticketing information; attendees will be checked in by name of ticket purchaser. \nCheck-in: Check-in takes place at the Margaret L. Wendt Center located at 1990 Main St.\, Buffalo\, NY 14208. Please enter the cemetery off Main Street\, across from Jefferson Avenue. If you need to enter Forest Lawn at the Main Street Gate or Delaware Avenue Gate\, just follow the blue line on the road which will take you to the Wendt Center. Please arrive no sooner than 30 minutes prior to the tour start time. \nParking: There is plenty of parking in front and to the right of the Wendt Center. \nFood & Beverage: You may bring water in a fully sealed container\, but no food is allowed aboard the Trolley. \nPhotography & Video: You may take still photographs throughout the tour for your own personal use\, however\, video is prohibited. \nRefunds and exchanges: Ticket sales are final.
