Join us as we welcome guest speaker, Marla Bujnicki, for a special presentation to celebrate the cemetery’s 175th anniversary. We will explore the history and legacy of Forest Lawn by examining its growth and development through the decades, sharing lesser known facts and stories about the cemetery, and of course most importantly, highlighting some of the notable individuals who rest within the gates.

Marla Bujnicki is first and foremost a promoter of Buffalo, a preservationist and a history enthusiast. She retired from the Department of Homeland Security after 37 years of government employment and since then has been training docents and giving tours for both Preservation Buffalo Niagara (PBN) and Forest Lawn. More recently, she was a guest on Judge Penny Wolfgang’s radio broadcast and has also been giving presentations in conjunction with the county-sponsored University Express Program. Her past four summers, have been spent as a narrator aboard the Miss Buffalo II tour boat and she has been active in the preservation community since 2005.

Advance registration is required as space is limited.  This presentation will be given in two parts with a brief intermission; complimentary refreshments will be served.
