Who’s Who on the Avenue
November 2, 2024 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
| FreeJoin us as we welcome guest speaker, Marla Bujnicki, to discuss several movers & shakers, who at one time, had a Delaware Avenue address. Today, all reside at Forest Lawn as permanent residents. A U.S. president, a renowned doctor, famous architect and local brewmaster all left our city a legacy. Their stories and others will be highlighted as we explore Delaware Avenue from the other side of the lawn.
Marla Bujnicki is first and foremost a promoter of Buffalo, a preservationist and a history enthusiast. She retired from the Department of Homeland Security after 37 years of government employment and since then has been training docents and giving tours for both Preservation Buffalo Niagara (PBN) and Forest Lawn. More recently, she was a guest on Judge Penny Wolfgang’s radio broadcast and has also been giving presentations in conjunction with the county-sponsored University Express Program. Her past four summers, have been spent as a narrator aboard the Miss Buffalo II tour boat and she has been active in the preservation community since 2005.
Registration is required as space is limited. A $10 suggested donation will be accepted at the door for the Forest Lawn Heritage Foundation, which helps to make programs like this possible for the community.
