
Buffalo’s Gilded Age Walking Tour

| $20.00Former Buffalo resident, Mark Twain, coined the phrase “Gilded Age” as he referred to late 19th century in America; a time which was characterized by rapid industrialization, economic growth, and a veneer of wealth masking significant social and economic inequalities. Enjoy a walk around Forest Lawn to explore the stories of affluent families and notable individuals from Buffalo that were connected to this significant time in history.

Address: Forest Lawn Cemetery, 1990 Main St., Buffalo, NY 14208
Tickets: There is no need to print any ticketing information; attendees will be checked in by name of ticket purchaser.
Check-in: Check-in takes place at Forest Lawn’s historic Chapel in the heart of the cemetery. Enter the cemetery at any gate and follow the white painted line on the road to the Chapel.
Parking: There is plenty of parking at the Chapel/check-in location.
For Your Comfort: This walk will be approximately 1 mile and includes some hilly terrain; we strongly encourage attendees to wear suitable outerwear/footwear.
Refunds and exchanges: Ticket sales are final. If severe weather is forecasted, we will monitor the conditions for the best chance of proceeding with the tour. No exchanges or refunds unless the tour is canceled.
